Hi all

based on this wiring diagram

http://www.sega-naomi.com/resources/manuals/NaomiWD.pdf

the sun psu connects to the CN6 pins of the i/o board and no power comes from the jamma harness

1. Is this the only way, or can power be supplied through the jamma harness instead (ie power comes from one or the other but not both)

2. Are there cables I can buy with the plugs needed to connect to the sun psu (fat rectangle with 8 holes) and the CN6 pins (skinny 6 pin similar to the GD-rom power connector)?

3. Or can I make them myself? Where can I get those different plug shapes?

No quite sure I understand: What I/O are you using? The JAMMA JVS I/O simply draws its power from the JAMMA harness.
