Crazy Taxi in an Initial D Machine. Shifter issues

Post by OldFoo »

Well, I picked up an Initial D Machine for cheap and decided to throw Crazy Taxi in it. Everything works fine, steering, pedals, etc. except for the shifter. It does nothing, however, the change view button puts it in Reverse. The problem here is that there is no way to put it back into drive. I assume it's an easy fix to have the shifter working for Crazy Taxi, but obviously am not sure, any help here is appreciated.

For clarification, the shifter itself works fine, used it on Initial D no probs. Just when I put in Crazy Taxi it doesn't recognize it.

I know that crazy taxi needs additional button to work properly.

Best ask Andy directly to see if he can tell you exactly what cables you've to change.

I'll download the schematics, but you're saying OR2 would be a straight drop in into my ID machine? That's pretty cool.

You would need a chihiro board and gd rom also to play OR2 so a little bit of work to do.
