The only reason to buy a Naomi 2 system is to play Naomi 2 games. Other than that, no other reason. N2 system plays N1 games with no difference.

I have one of each at the minute, and one GD setup.
I am planning on getting 2 cabs, and having one Horizontal, and the other vertical. Only thing I'm not sure of is to use the N1 for vertical with the GD, and then get a 3.17DIMM & GD for the N2 and keep it horizontal.
Are there any decent vert games on the N2 that may mean I should get another N2 (possibly a VF4:FT Kit)???

As far as I know, there are no vertical games for N2. Vertical games are generally 2D scrolling shooters
which the N1 is perfectly capable of doing. Also, all N2 games are 3D.

Cheers,
Looks like I need to get hold of a 3.17 Net-DIMM, and another GD Drive (oh, and the GD Compatible N1 Bios) then use the N1 for vert, and the new DIMM on the N2 so I can play FT!
Not seen Castle 2, but I absolutely love Ikaruga. Need to save some pennies for a good shopping spree in the new year.
Is there such a thing as the Arcade January sales???

If you have a .net dimm you can send it to me & I will flash it upto 3.17 for free.

I think VF4 is the only reason to have a Naomi2 instead of a Naomi1.

Unless you have a driving cab.
