Picture Issues

Hi,

Need some advice here.

Was playing on my N2, and the ATX supply I use went Bang! (And I mean puff of smoke, flash of electricity & knock out the RCD's for the house type of bang!)

I then found another ATX PSU, and reconnected everything up. Problem is that the image on the screen (Plasma Via VGA 31Khz) has almost a look of a de-tuned TV, with a sort of speckled effect over the screen.

I immediatly thought, fook, I've killed my N2, but decided to test things by getting my N1 out. This shows the same artifact, but to a slightly lesser degree. The same artifact was present when using the SCART on the TV (Naomi @ 15Khz via CAPCOM IO & Supergun).

TV is fine on Sky using same RGB SCART socket, and VGA port is fine when laptop is connected.

Could it be the PSU causing the issue. Maybe not enough voltage???

I haven't tried using the CAPCOM 3.3v output yet, but I will tomorrow.

Any Ideas???

John

When you say 'de-tuned', do you mean it looks darker than usual, or you see snow in the background?

It's almost like a a white speckled appearance in the foreground.

I'm gonna try the Capcom feed with arcade supply to see if that clears it up tomorrow morning
