Naomi 2 GDrom system in a Egret 2.

Since im not getting my hands on a naomi cab in foreseeable future, Ive decided on building another naomi system, this time around for the egret 2.
How i should go about it?
Does the egret 2 have enough power to drive a complete naomi 2 gd system alone(without a sega powersupley) Can i get away with just using an capcom io converter ?
Edit.. right ok nevemind, after some reading, It seems that its' a bad idea cranking up the power in the cab instead of using a separate power supply for the gddrive, I was hoping that i could get away with it though :smt018
