Hey Guys,

After trying everything I can think of, I still get the good old "Error 21" when trying to boot up my Virtua Striker 4 game.

The Type 3 Triforce mobo I have has the Dimm built inside, and is a 1GB unit (JPN.)

The disc I have is correct, and the number is GDT-0013E.

However, I'm not 100% sure that the key I have is correct, and cannot verify this on the web. The only number I saw was on a rom dumping site, and don't know if that's correct either.

The number on the key I have is 253-5508-0391J.

If there is ANYONE out there who has a confirmed working VS4 JPN disc and key - would you please post the number on the key?

I just want to know if that's the reason for the problem I'm having, and it's always good to have the info on the site.

are you certain the inside chip is 317-0391-JPN ? maybe the chip casing is correct but the chip is from another system

I don't know what that number you list above is to.

The number that's on the key I have is 253-5508-0391J.

i was clear its the chip itself not the plastic case

yeah there is clips on the edges and it is like onion as it has layers. make sure you know what direction the chip lays when taking it apart

Opened it up and the chip on the inside said 317-0391J.

Bought a new game disc and chip and still get the Error 21 message.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong here...
