Dimm board question.

is it possible to find how much memory has the dimm board ?

Sega puts in 256MB by default. I think the dimm handles 512MB at most. Someone on the forum once mentioned that anything beyond 512 is ignored.

Why the option? Do some games require more memory? I was under the impression that the entire game is loaded into memory at the start, right? So the amount of memory should only matter if you get an error. Is that correct?



Can you tell during the memory test how much memory there is?

i think dimm board with 512 Mo is used with "triforce system"

because triforce game sometime maybe is more bigger than 256

I don't think there are any Naomi games currently that need more than 256, but the option is available should the need arise. GD-ROM discs can store 1 gig, so more is possible.



Unfortunately, the Naomi service mode does not say how much memory is available.

I think the Net Dimmboard Ver 3.17 from VF 4 Final Tuned have also 512...

No, as any .net dimm board can be flashed upto 3.17.

Yes RGP...all Dimmboards can be flashed upto 3.17....but the Net Dimmboard

it gives officiel with Final Tuned is a 512 or not??
