Ikaruga caution 54

Probably a stupid question but I'll go ahead and ask it. I set the monitor to display ikaruga the right way (at least I'm pretty sure I am) and the Naomi boot screen gives me a caution 54. If I change it back the screen is flipped wrong but the game boots fine. Do I have to actually pull the monitor out and rotate it? Would like that to be the last resort if possible

Monitor has to be vertical.

So I have to turn it then? When I do it on the board options that's when it gives the error. I figured that's what I would have to do but was hoping there was an easier option
