Is it possible to change the region of a Naomi 2 board?

I bought a N2 board with a VF4 Evo cart recently that is an export version, and I was wondering if theres a way to make it a US version. Is it possible to get a US BIOS and just swap the old one out? Or is there more to it than that?

It will still be the same on export why would you want to change it? its still in English on export.

I'm aware the language will stay the same, it's just that in my arcade collection, every game I own is a USA version, so I'm looking to make this one USA too. It's kind of a collectors thing, no scratches on the cab, must have new monitors, etc...

All your games might be USA versions, but I doubt many where actually made in the USA :smt019

Pretty sure VF4 Export is locked, You need to open up the cartridge and and check the square chip

253-xxxxx-XXX

If it ends EXP then it will only work on EXPORT bios, the VF4's I've had have been Export only.

oh man you've got to be joking me. I see on the Naomi BIOS list that the VF4 Evo cart should work USA/EXP... so why am I hearing all about these export only versions of VF4 evo? Man, this is not cool.

Edit- I opened up the cart and thank god, did not find anything that said -EXP on it. I took some pictures, will upload in 5. Maybe theres still hope?

Actually it is 317-xxxxx-ABC

The following applies when ABC is

COM = Any BIOS

EXP = Export Only

JAP = Japan Only

So yes, yours will work on any BIOS.
