I posted this on killercabs to, but then i realised i probably should have posted here so anyways.....
Ok peoples, got my naomi 2 from coin-op..........
Heres what happened.
Pulled it out of the box, unplugged everything from the main board so it's just a bare board.....plugged it in via my cabinets JVS power leads, and the vga lead from my monitor straight into the naomi box......turned on the cabinet and nothing.
Tha naomi board comes on, the fans start, the green and red led(the ones on the actual naomi pcb) go on solid....but nothing comes on screen at all.
I have another naomi 1 board that i plug in and it loads up the naomi splash and gets into the test menus etc FINE. (no carts to test any further but it still loads up)
My voltages are at 12.07/5.08/3.3
Switching from 15/31k does nothing.....tried running the video via the IO, nothing.........
HELP!!!...... I think this main board may be going back as i'm pretty sure it's fubarred Sad
Naomi 2 won't work :(
Yeah i was gonna try that but my N1 board has a hella old bios, i'm in the process of getting me a new bios now...things take time down here in the land down under though
I'm just gonna send the main board back, ray at coin-op has been pretty good.
Im almost certain its the main board because when i unplug the dimm and GD and just have the bare main board running there is no change, it should at least boot to a splash or show something....but nothign at all, running the video through the IO or direct via vga plug into the naomi, same thing.
