I'm relatively sure that for jamma the h acts as a composite sync, thats how mine was when I got it, and it seemed to work fine.

That sounds about right. If you use a sync seperator IC, it gives you V-Sync & then H-Sync which is a combination of V&H. You then need to strip the V Sync out of this to create a true H Sync.



Ah well, just bought a CGA>VGA converter, so may not need to do this now.
