Hi All,

What is the easist way to play JAMMA games in NAOMI cabinet?

Mainly interested in getting 8-1 multiwilliams JAMMA card and running it in NAOMI.

Any type of JAMMA adapter available?

(I thought this was discussed here once but i searched and could not find link)

If so will the adapter also play vertical JAMMA games?

Thanks

You will need a JVS to Jamma interface board. The only place I know that sells them is here-->Starcab.net

You can play vertical games as long as the monitor in your cab can be turned horizontal to vertical.

I hope this helps! :D

Don't forget that Naomi outputs at 31Khz, and JAMMA at 15Khz, so if you don't have a tri-sync (or dual 15/31Khz) monitor in your cab, then you will also need a CGA>VGA converter.

I managed to get one fo ebay, but I think starcab sell them too.

Hi John,

Thanks,

My monitor is only 31Khz.

The multiwilliams board has a vga output so I think all I need is the JAMMA interface for control panel.

My Model 3 VF3 has a VGA connector, but is 25Khz (med-res)

Naomi has only 2 video modes: VGA (640x480) and standard low-res RGB. :smt045

Friends,

You can set the naomi board to 15 KHZ via jumper and hook naomo output (RGB/H-sync+V-Sync) to Arcade stardart monitor chassis on RGB/Sync(composite). I have information what this work very fine.

This is a standard hookup for low-res monitors. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, but I think most users already know this.
