Can anyone help me? I'm a electronics technician from Portugal and I solves a few problems with Naomi hardware, but this one beats me :smt017

Here goes... with no visible reason I have (since this morning, yesterday was OK) a malfunctioning NAOMI2 hardware:

-Everytime I use a NAOMI2 Game (blue box) the game stuck right after the logos when the yellow letter bellow show up "insert coin ----credits 0 --- insert coin" and the game freeze with black background, only the yellow lettering.

But If I use a Naomi1 game (white box) everything works OK.... :smt017

Tried different games (all OK), done ROM, RAM & DIMM tests, checked voltage, cleaned up contacts...

:smt010 :smt010 :smt010 HELP!!!! Any ideas?

Ok. It could be a setting that needs to be changed. What game is it?

Well then it will not be fixable by yourself, probably a fault on the 2nd GPU (as only Naomi 2 games use 2 GPU's).

You'll need to get a Sega tech to fix it, try Ken @ www.irepairsega.com

Doesn't matter where in the world to my knowledge.. just you'll need to pay shipping.

Guess your cheapest solution is to find another N2 mobo.

Hey, Andy. :smt006 Will the Naomi2 still run without 1 of it's GPU's?

Wouldn't this be something that would be tested after power-up?
