Hey gang,

So I have the most torn up GD-ROM cable ever. the thing is fraying out wire and will fail if you look at it to hard. ...

... it looks like a scsi cable, anyone know what kind?

Thanks! ^___^

It is a SCSI-2 cable. Make sure it's short! For some reason, cables over 2 feet don't work. :smt017 :smt102

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but where the heck do you find SCSI-2 cables under the 2 foot mark?

It is a little difficult to find. Most cables are 3ft or more. The cables you need are usually used to daisy-chain devices that are close together. They vary from 6 inches to 2ft. Those are the ones you want. I found the extras I needed on ebay.

I found an online source for 2 ft cables. Is that still too long?

For those who are interested:

The cables start at 1 ft long, the price tag starts at about $24USD, its a bit pricey, but that's where I found the short cables. If anyone has any others sites, please share.
