Converting edge connecter mono audio to rca line out

Hey, does anyone have a schematic they would like to share that converts mono audio to stereo line level outputs for a supergun? Helping a buddy of mine set one up for Naomi use as well as older Jamma boards. Thanks for all the help.

You can use one of these --->Audio Converter<---.

Connect the + and - to both left and right inputs on the adapter and it will output to line level mono audio. I've done it and it works great. :smt020

Does anyone use an Attenuation circuit to drop down the mono speaker voltage to line level output? If so, is there any degradation in sound quality? Thanks.

The converter I previously mentioned does the following:

1) Attenuates via variable resistors

2) Matches the difference in circuit loads via transformers

3) Provides the correct connectors for both line and audio level

This is better than attenuation alone. If you don't understand

what any of that means, that's ok. Just take my word for it.:smt045

I follow it completely, used to work as test tech, and thought about building a proper circuit design. Just taking cues from "other" consolized arcade systems. For the price, save me some trouble building the sucker. Thanks again Josh.

this is how I did it when I would build superguns

That's what I did.

You just have to make sure that the volume on the JAMMA boards is set to minimum to start, then increase it till you get a reasonable level, before wacking the amp up!

I'm going to assume overload the inputs on the amplifier. Thanks for the advice.
