System Confusion

Hi all,

I am after some advice. I have just bought a naomi cab off ebay. It is a Naomi 2 with gd-rom running Virtua striker 3. I would like to get a copy of Virtua Fighter 4 but after looking into this it seems I need a certain dimm board to run some versions of the game. I wondered if anyone could assist me in working out which format (card or gd-rom ) would work with my system.

Apologies if any of this is incorrect. I just dont want to buy something I cant use.

Thanks

There are two types of DIMM hardware: the standard and Net versions. Only VF4 Final Tuned needs the Net type. All of the others work fine with the standard version.

Thanks for the reply. Does that mean that there is no region lock-out on any of the games. I can buy whatever game and it should work.

If there is a region lock-out on them how do I tell which region mine is.

Cheers

Browse the pages at Sega-Naomi.com it mentions some games that are region locked.

Sorry to keep going on. Do you mean this list for region locked games.

http://www.sega-naomi.com/bios.htm

If so how would I go about finding out which bios I am currently running.

Thanks again.

You're close! Look here --->Compatability list<--- :D

Finding which version you have is easy. Remove the Dimm or Cart and you will see the bios chip with EPR-xxxxx written on it. Compare it with the list and presto! :smt081
