Turning off insert coin/press start button displays

Is there a way to turn this off in the test menu?

I find it annoying when playing a one player game, but also to prevent any change on burnin.

Not really. Because it's an arcade game, the 'coin' message was made to be there. The only possible thing you can do is change into 'Free Play' mode, but it just changes the 'Insert Coin' message to 'Free Play'.
