hello,

i just try sync my universal monitor using a wei ya chassis from giz10p. picture in 31k is excellent but i get messy (waving/vibrating- unusable) output at 15k using my naomi setup (switched the jumpers to get 15k from the motherboard). is this normal? does it need a JVS2jamma to have correct output at 15k?

No. As long as it is connected properly, the adapter is not necessary. To be more helpful, please tell us about your setup (I/O, Naomi 1 or 2, etc).

The 15k picture on Wei Ya is not the greatest 15k picture ever, you have to accept the trade off with having a cheap Tri-Snyc chassis

Waving/vibrating sounds like a grounding issue.

i'll dig a bit about the grounding... but i'm pretty sure i'm doing it right...

i'm using a naomi 1 mobo in a universal cabinet, nothing much special about that... 31k picture is crystal clear and 15k is vibrating a lot...

video quality is not that good but you'll see the effect without problems...

Hmm...:smt017 Have you tried using a jamma board or anything that is natively low-res?

Also, some monitors have the choice of either composite or component H/V sync. You should check for that. The same thing goes for the Capcom I/O (if you are using one).

you need to adjust the v-hold and v-sync to stop the jitter.

All cheapo tri-sync monitors do this with the Naomi at 15K

On the naomi at 15K to get a good picture you should have either overscan or underscan, can't remember which.
