Hey guys,
I discovered today that my dedicated Mortal Kombat 3 machine is a Jamma Arcade machine, and that it has something called a PCP? jamma board that I can switch with other pcp jamma boards games like Marvel VS. Street Fighter 1 and Marverl VS. Capcom 1. But In order to play Marvel VS Capcom 2 I will need a Naomi Board , Capcom I/O Harness adapter and the Naomi game cartridge.
I will need to following things $$$$
1:
SEGA NAOMI SYSTEM BOARD --$100

2:
Sega Naomi Capcom Jamma IO Adapter --$200! :smt010

3:
MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2 - New Age of Heroes Cartridge --$350 omg!
http://cgi.ebay.com/MARVEL-vs-CAPCOM-2- ... 1|294%3A50
Grand Total : $650 plus s&h comes to be around $700 to convert my regular jamma into a Sega Naomi Arcade just to play 1 game Marvel vs Capcom 2,
So do I need anything else, to covert a regular MK3 Jamma arcade machine into a Sega Naomi Arcade machine ?
Thanks,

Newb Here: 1 quick question
Hello Brandon,
Yes, This is the perfect Naomi cart setup for a jamma cab. But i'm not too sure if the powersupply in your cabinet can pull all this. If not it might hang and that would be a big letdown. I'm not sure if a standard jamma cab can take this. I've got the same setup on my Sega New Astro City running perfectly but i've heard stories of systems hanging all depending on the psu.
For the rest i think you could do better price-wise. Just check these forums so now and then and you might save yourself some money. And please don't buy MVC2 off Ebay. Buy it from a trusted seller here or on other well known forums.
You could also go the cheap way by putting a Dreamcast in your cabinet with one of those DC jamma converters. This works but isn't genuine arcade gaming if this is what you're looking for. Hope i'm not confusing you too much here now.
A jamma gameboard is called a PCB by the way.

One thing you should keep in mind is that the Capcom I/O is made to draw power from the Jamma harness, which more often then not enough for the system. However, if you get the system with the Naomi power supply and Sega I/O, then this would solve both the jamma compatibility and power consumption needs. Not to mention that you won't need to bleed $200 beans for a Capcom I/O! :smt023

That's another option but this one doesn't cover sound. You need to add an amp when using the sega I/O. Have to say that this is probably the way to go with your current cab.
Or just grab yourselves a Naomi Uni cab. :smt023
That's true, but you can use just about any amp for this system--->Stereo Amp. (<-For example)
If I had a choice between buying a Naomi system for around ~$200 and a Uni cab for $1200+ when I already have a cab... :smt017 I suppose it would depend on the individual.

Was only joking about the uni cab. But honestly, You can easily find a decent Uni cab with Naomi mobo if you're lucky for around Euro 250,- in Europe. Didn't know they were that expensive in the states, Sorry!
