Does anyone know of anyone who can revive dead CPS3 carts?

This guy here: http://www.villagebbs.com/forum/index.p ... 227.0.html - did he help you out, EIPC?

You bought one off ebay I think eh? did it arrive dead??

not sure where you can get it revived, I believe there are a few websites that do it for $50 or so, but I have not heard a firm answer from someone who actually got it done.

Also they'll revive it to the Asian version, so you'll lose some sound samples.

It hasn't arrived yet ...

Worst comes to worst, I will possibly get a cheap PC and use the CPS3 emulator in the cab.

Dunno what else to do.

[edited to remove badmouthing of what could actually be a good seller]

yeah, I hear you there.... if it is alive when you get it perhaps turn it on and leave it on till you can swap out the battery with it running.... take the case off of the cart first though.

Good luck

I don't have the equipment to turn it on. I do know someone with a voltmeter, or I can purchase one myself; the batteries are common, and soldering guns can be as cheap as $7.

The cab it's going to be in will still be with its seller on Thursday, the projected day of arrival for the system. Drat the timing of it all.
