Spring for Monkey Ball joystick?

Post by OldFoo »

My patients seem to have gotten a bit carried away with my beloved Monkey Ball control panel. The self-centering tension spring split in half and the rubber housing at the base of the banana has torn.

The spring appears to be 1.5" diameter and 1.5" in length.

Anyone know where I might be able to replace at least the spring? I'm guessing that the rubber housing will be impossible to find.

Thanks!

I did find a spring that seems to fit just right and the tension feels appropriate:

Although buying just one is expensive.

I have not found a substitute for the rubber housing just yet...

Try take a look at the rubber housing used on Afterburner Climax. It sure looks the same, judged from the photo..
