Ventilation question... Will I kill my Naomi??

I have a Naomi 1 in plastic to replace an arcade Naomi in tin. (HOTD2 arcade)

My Naomi in tin is faulty, and I have the HOTD2 rom screwed into the Naomi in plastic.

The HOTD2 rom is not encapsulated in a plastic cart, so there are gaps around it.

The question is, will this cause any problems? I intend to place this on site where it might well be on 24/7, and given my Naomi in tin died, I'm not keen on killing another one.

No, I don't think so. The processor has a fan directly on it, and the main fan just keeps the air going. If it worries you, you can always put the cover from either a dead cart, or from one you don't like or play much. Or, you can cover the cart hole with plastic wrap and tape (just a suggestion).
