Interface USB and Serial Port!!

Greet to everyone

I found when the game need forceback or the motion seat..etc,they usually use the serial port to direct contorl instead of by USB JVS I/O Board,why?

because normally they use industrial drive boards/controllers which normally operate on RS232/RS442 protocols.
