It's known as a memory backup capacitor or a super capacitor.
You want one that is .1 farad at 5.5 volts.
I'm not sure on the wire size. Over here in the states it's call 30ga (gauge) Kynar "wire wrap" wire. It's used for doing wire wrap prototype boards and just happens to work VERY well for patching small traces.
So here is the thing. I asked a friend who knows a lot more about electronics than i do where to get a new Capacitor. He says that finding one in Denmark could be quite difficult... So i guess i will have to order one from the somewhere else? Do you have any suggestions? As cheap shipping as possible please
Both those pages are extremely expensive and only send to companies... Farnell had a field where you can select private/hobby but that didn't really change anything. At the end it said thank you for your buisness, but i still havent paid them. Wonder what will happen tomorrow when they see my order? If all works out they will contact me so they can get their money but i don't see that happening, they will probably cancel it.
If any of you order from those sites regularly I would be very happy if you would buy one for me. I will of course pay all the expenses and shipping to Denmark.
Actually thats cheaper that farnell and RS components, so i don't mind. I didn't know it would run without it. I should get the wire i need tomorrow or the day after.
