I have 2 Naomi cabs with GD rom splitter help

Post by OldFoo »

I have had 2 Naomi cabs with GD roms. 1 USA Naomi, 1 Midway conversion.

My 2 GD rom cabinets are wired to sound amps , 3.3 power supply, then to the GD rom and I/O.

I assumed these were Naomi gd rom power cables.

Could someone please tell me what the differences in cables are?

This is affecting a transaction.

Please read my PM. I just finished writing an explanation.

I have sun 3.3 power supply.

It came with the cabinets I bought.

I was aware this was the official power supply in Naomi cabinets in the USA.

What is a ATX power supply? Is it some unofficial power supply?

I have also just answered this question.

So basically what I sold him is a official USA Naomi gd rom power cable.

And his problem is it does not work with his UNOFFICIAL power supply which is supposed to be used with a PC but is jerry rigged to a Naomi instead. I think he should invest in official Naomi parts.

Somehow I am in the wrong?

You don't always need official parts, especially if they are not readily available. There's no need to worry about what someone else's setup is.

I have an official Sega PSU.

I never even discussed my PSU anywhere, so how can you commend on what I'm using?

I bought an entire Naomi cart setup, pulled right from a machine. It has the original parts that came with Virtua Tennis.

If you see my FS thread, you'll note that I'm selling the extras (cart, Sega Jamma I/O, audio amp, etc.)

I have the PSU referenced in the FAQ, not an ATX, whatever the hell that is.

You're in the wrong for a lot of things, don't start making assumptions about my equipment, playing the whole "I don't understand" card.

have you even attempted to try it? Just curious

That was partially my doing. He asked me why anyone would want to use parts other than Sega originals and I said that if you had an ATX psu, this would be a good reason.

You have pieced together your entire SETUP.

I have bought my cabinets with the GD rom already installed. I am only assuming you have the wrong power supply otherwise you would not have this problem.

I can show pictures of the cable working in the cabinet. I took about 20 of them.
