Caution 51: Game Assignments are incorrect.

Hello, everybody.

I am trying to test a game Quiz Q-Mode. I keep getting one of the following error messages:

First, I sometimes get the following message:

I keep getting the following error message:

?Error 24: GD-ROM is not found.?

What does this mean?

Second, I sometimes get this message:

?Caution 51: Game Assignments are incorrect. Set correctly in system assignments of test mode.?

What are the correct assignments for this game?

Any assistance in either or both of these matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

error 24 is either your disc damaged/dirty or your gdrom is going faulty,if it works fine with other discs then it is the disc

caution 51 is when you have the cabinet type set wrong or panel type wrong-you can put this correct in game settings

error 24: (assuming the disk is good)

if memory serves me(and I might be wrong here) I believe that is generally indicative of the controller board in the gdrom going out....you can get a replacement board(if you have the right model)from segashed once it goes out completely....could also be the laser assembly(can probably get that from segashed too)...here is a quote from the service manual:

[DISPLAY] ERROR 24 - GD-ROM IS NOT FOUND

[CAUSE] The Naomi GD_ROM disk cannot be recognized

[COUNTERMEASURES] Reinsert the naomi gd-rom disk. Make sure that the disk is not scratched or contaminated.

but like I say if the disk is fine then you're gonna need to figure which of those parts is bad and replace....hope that helps

Thanks, Grant. Any idea what the correct system settings should be for this game?

never seen that game tbh,but i would just go into the game settings and see what the options are

If its a quiz game, I imagine its a 1 player only game, so make sure that the cab type is set to 1 players.
