Hi all.
I have four Daytona(1994) cabinets, and through cannibalizing I've managed to get ONE working. It seems that the Daytona PCB's are prone to error and hard to come by.
So, I'm thinking. Would it be possible to interface a Model 3 racing game instead of the Daytona Model 2 PCB? Or maybe interfacing a Naomi system?
Is the Naomi mobo born with inputs for a pot wheel and pedals?
What do you think, would the be feasible?
Thanks,
Nicholas
Swapping Model 2 for Model 3 or Naomi in Daytona cabinet?
Hmm
The easiest way to get other driving games into a Daytona 1 is to use the I/O filter board.
One side of the filter board has a 60 and 26pin 2 layer amp connectors
On the other side they have a two lots of of 25pin JST connectors.
I would then buy 2 x 25pin JST NH connectors and pins and then wire them to the various game boards (Model 3 filter/NAomi I/O etc).
That way you don't have to hack the loom.
18wheeler remember that uses a belt optical wheel so no good for driving cabs.
And the Pedals/Wheel go to the Naomi I/O on the 26pin connector (Analogue).

Hey !
Is this what I need for analog interfacing? without jamma etc.
