Heatsink problem Naomi2

Hey I just got my Naomi 2 in the mail and not only was one of the mounting brackets broken, the heaksink fell off one of the chips. Should I just remove the tape thats on the chip and put any regular thermal tape?

I don't see any problem with that. Thermal paste should work fine.
