This is my first post to this forum so hello everyone from a Finnish arcade collector! Having read some messages here I'm quite impressed by your technical knowledge, keep up the good work!
But to the problem at hand: The thing is that on my visit to Tokyo I bought Typing of the Dead cart and two keyboards. The game works fine and is great fun but I was wondering if it's possible to run the game with English dictionary as that would make the game even more fun (for example now some of the boss battles are somewhat random as I'm unable to "answer the questions"). Is this possible?
I know that the DC port of the game contains English words, but what about the Naomi version? I ran the game with Japanese bios and in that case I get Japanese words. I got the same result with Export bios. I haven't tried it with USA bios yet as I don't have one...
PS. There seems to be no dictionary/language -related settings in the service menus.
PPS. I also bought Lupin: The Typing GD but I haven't tested that yet...I guess it's the same thing with that game, too.
Typing of the Dead, words in English ... possible?
Thanks for your replies.
I tested Lupin: The Typing and it was the same.
Shame really, as with Lupin there's at least one occurrence in the game where you absolutely must know the answers to couple of questions which makes that part (for me) quite difficult.
Well, I guess I just have to be happy for the games to be able to accept rōmaji input ... after seeing the keyboards for the first time I thought even that isn't possible
