Highscore wont save

Hey,

I have CvS2 in my cab currently and It does not save the highscore after I power the machine down. All the service menu changes are saved, like free play but the scores in the game are alway reset to default. Is there something I should check, setting, battery?

I've been told that Capcom Naomi games don't save high scores on powerdown. I asked the same thing when I first got Marvel vs Capcom 2.
