so you lose gun sense and also credit function-do you mean it will not accept coins or the service button does not work or the credit board service does not work
this should narrow down your fault to know this
Problems with my HOD2 arcade machine
oke this is the problem with it 2 guns did work and all of a sudden only 1 work t and later that one stopt to. the pcb runs fine and it gives no error codes ,it some times don t give any credits when you put a coin in maybe a dirty money box if you go in test mode triggers from both guns do work but if you calibrate the guns there s nobody home
so nothing is picking up the gun :smt017

grantspain wrote:maybe its just the inductor coils on the gun sensor pcb, they have a habit of breaking at the legs-just try the service button when thecoin mech don't work-see if that gives credits
1 st yes thats what i was thinking to since the by the looks of it alraidy changed once before.
2 nd if you prss the credit button it gives you credits

3 rd wr still gonna check the psu aswell

Hello Grantspain,
So far we credit the machine with the service button, we will test it over to be sure, could it also be that HOD2 gives only a maxium of 9 credits and that we asumed that it doesn`t work properly?
My knowledge of pcb`s is that the 12 volts is only needed for the sound, so it`s not needed for the sensor pcb, am I right ?
Thanks
Regards Dragonfly
I was at dragonfly's place today, and we took a quick look at the HoD PSU. To start with, it was extremely dirty, so it will be given a thorough cleaning.
Prior to cleaning, we did measure the voltage levels with the machine running. Both the 5V and 3.3V were off (reading 5.3 and 3.1). Both of them are unstable (especially the 3.3V). We corrected them both. 12V was ok.
The Gun Sense PCB was not in the Cab, so we did not run any test. Dragonfly will be cleaning the PSU, put the Gun Sense PCB back in, measure 5V and 3.3V, and retest.
