In Game Menu's- Japanese To English

Got a few Noami Carts today and tested them out. When I plugged them in the title and all test menu's are in English, but when I go to actually play the game (Games are MvC2 and CvSNK), selecting the options for characters and such is in Japanese. I was wondering if there was something I could do to make this read in English from the menu's or is this a BIOS setting, chip setting?

Sorry for the newb question, I just don't know a whole lot about the Naomi system.

Also, sorry if this is a basic question that has been asked way to often, feel free to just point me in the right direction if need be.

If you have a US bios installed, then games will favor English. However, if a game is natively in Japanese (Japanese only), the game will only be in Japanese. In fact, the game may not load at all.

Well if it helps the labels are in English. Also the characters names and the title show up in English, yet when I go to select what type of style the character will fight in (MvC2 for example) it's in Japanese. Also the audio is in Japanese not sure if this is normal or not, so this may not be an issue.

None of this affects game play so not really a huge issue, I would just like to know what options I am selected while playing.

Generally speaking, there are no options or controls over what language we see or hear within a game outside of changing the bios region coding. The system manual also states that region settings are not selectable. :smt024

OK, that makes sense. So I guess I need to figure out what BIOS I have and go from there.
