Naomi 2 worked great til I swapped carts...

Hi all.

I have a Naomi 2 that was running Wild Riders perfectly. I swapped in Cub Kart for testing purposes, and it ran flawlessly as well. When I switched back, the WR started screwing up. There is now tons of slowdown which ultimately causes the game to lock up. This occurs whether the game is being played or just running in attract mode. I traded the CK, which was my only other Naomi cart, so I have no other means to test this board.

I tried removing/reseating the cart several times. I also removed the board from the cart case, blew out the dust (minimal) and checked the seat on the two socketed chips visible (one in cart, one on mobo). The problem is still occurring.

Any thoughts on this issue are welcome.

Do a rom test in the bios & check out voltage.

Look closely at the CK cart for bent pins or messed up connectors. You may have damaged the board if the cart has physical problems.
