Hi!
I got a empty old driving cabinet that I was thinking maybe would work great as a Naomi or Naomi 2 with a driving game.
But I never seen how a driving game to Naomi is connected to the steering wheel and the pedal and so on.
Is there any special interface between the driving controls and the Naomi motherboard?
What steering wheel and pedal can be used?
Can I still use a Capcom Converter?
Glad for all infomation I can get =)
/Thank you
How is the driving controls connected to Naomi
I have never seen a driving game connected with a Capcom I/O, so I don't know if it would work (although I am curious). If you take a look at this Wiring Diagram, you will see a standard Naomi driving setup. This setup has no force feedback, but is a setup available to anyone with the right setup and know-how.
If you look at the I/O adapter in the diagram, you will see that all of the controls are connected via the analog input of the I/O. You will need the analog harness to hook this up correctly. However, it is possible to wire the controls using a cut floppy cable.
Note:
It won't cover all of the pins, but you don't need all of them. This alternate method is not very clean, but it should work.

I'm sorry to revive this OLD thread!!
But, the link to the wiring diagram doesn't work, does anyone know
where I can find it? I would love to know how to hook up a wheel
to the Naomi.
The site changed it's spelling since my original post. Here is the corrected link: Wiring Diagram
