What are the JAMMA-side RCA jacks on the Capcom i/o for?

... they don't seem to be outputting audio (or anything else either).

The Capcom I/O has a Mono/Stereo switch. When set to 'Mono', the sound is amplified and sent through the Jamma edge; the stereo out is disabled. When set to 'Stereo', the sound is sent to the Jamma side RCA jacks but not amplified and the output can still be controlled by the volume knob.
