Guilty Gear XX slash requires JPN bios?

I see the compatibility list here, but the list is very tiny. Does GGXX Slash NEED a JPN bios, or can I run it on a US one? If JPN one is needed, where do I buy such a thing?

Uh... thanks? That didn't answer my question. When I did a search on this site, I saw you posted that as an answer to someone else... and it also didn't answer their question. That bios compatibility list is laughably short.

EDIT: The answer, I'm sorry to say I just found out, is no. I just received this in the mail, and the US bios will not work. So, add that to the compatibility list.

Actually, it does answer this question. This game is a JPN only game, not European or Export which tend to work on almost any bios. Generally speaking, you should assume that games with Japanese lettering on them work on the JPN Bios only. This information is stated in the link I provided. :smt045

I did assume that, actually... Guilty Gear XX Slash's GD rom is 100% English on the top.

Really? The one I have is 100% Japanese. I didn't know they made one with English... :smt017

What really confused the hell out of me was Guilty Gear XX was in Japanese... and that worked with my old bios. So, when I saw that this new one had English on the top, I assumed it would work (as I knew the Naomi was US bios), but THAT one didn't! lol. So, in conclusion, the one with JPN writing works in US, and the one with English doesn't.

Guilty Gear xx reloaded is the only gd rom version of guilty gear that runs on usa/export bios midnight carnival does not and armord core or slash.

some one should realy update the list but i did notice that one my self when i had the game.

I have two Guilty Gear XX Midnight Carnival GDL-0011 and they both works with a revision G export bios (both have japanese writing on top of the disc).

I also have a Guilty Gear XX Slash GDL-0033 with english writing on top of the disc but it only works with a japanese bios.

I don't have a Guilty Gear XX reload but i remember reading a thread here where someone tested and confirmed that it only works with japanese bios.

usa bios not export as was only running export as recently as a few months ago as i got aisan dynamite latest releace naomi 1 export bios in board atm

guitly gear xx reload defently works on usa bios as i brought it as midnight carnevil dosent work on usa bios would only work on jap will try it on export just to confirm that.

the other 2 i know only play on jpn as know some people who had issues with them.
