update plz answer: Naomi Uni Cab with Taito Type x2

Post by OldFoo »

Hi,

is it possible to run a taito type x2 system in a sega naomi uni cab? Does it fit?

I know that Taito Type x2 uses a LCD monitor, what happens if I connect it to a normal monitor?

Does taito type x2 uses jamma or jvs?

update. If i connect the Taito Type x2 to my normal Cab monitor (it isn?t a LCD one) how does it work resolution wise?

I've had a TypeX? in my Naomi universal cab and yes, there is enough room to fit it. There are some dipswitches behind the mobo, and one of them's purpose is to set the system to 31Khz so no problem for the screen (but I don't know which switch it is...). And yes, TypeX? uses JVS :)

Though, a TypeX? mobo has its own PSU included, you will need a second power cable for it. The PSU autoswitches between 110 and 220V, so no converter needed.

I think SSF4 is going to be the Sega Ring platform.. not TypeX2 because if the piss poor security.
