Options for wireless NAOMI controls (if any)

Post by OldFoo »

Hi,

Was thinking of a cool project but need some help from the orb's of knowlege here to get her going.

Would really like to have a wireless control panel connected remotely to naomi (ideally wiress end would run only on batteries and not need power supply and cord)

A wile back I converted a boardmaster and added a NAOMI JAMMA I/O so that I only had a USB cable running from the board master to the naomi. Problem for me was it had to be plugged in to get 5V and also had the USB wire. So that make two too many wires :D

It was kinda cool because it could be remote by about 25 feet but ultimately a pain as it still had two wires.

I had the NAOMI hooked up too my projector being shot onto a 12 foot diagonal screen (now that was the jam)

At 1st I thought dreacast controllers through VMU port might be the most straight forward way. But the limited games that support VMU port does not seem like a viable option (pic below)

Other options???

Wireless digital I.O

Wireless USB?

Any thoughts if this is possible would be great. Ideally working with an already off the shelf wireless controller on one end and what ever on the naomi end

Let the ideas fly. Myabe Invizim could make us something :smt020
