Error 02

Post by OldFoo »

OK, finally got to turn everything on today and the first error I got was

Error 01

I look around here, find out that I may need to reseat the dimms.

no prob

now, I keep getting to the naomi screen then it reboots. What could be the problem??

Edit:

Looks like it wasn't getting enough juice! I increased the voltage to 5.20 and 12.10 and everything is loading now! Is this too much?

Edit (again): Once everything was loaded I got Error 02. Looks like the version of Evo that I have is USA and Under "System Menu" it says "USA Version". Am I missing something??

What is the bios version you are using? Number is printed on large chip under where the carts go. (In case you need to know) It should read EPR-xxxx.

EPR-B23607

Pretty sure both Naomi 2 cartridges for Virtua Fighter 4 and 4 Evo where Export only.

You can tell if it is export, buy opening up the cartridge and looking at the security chip.

It should be 315-xxxxx-EXP, where XXX is the security number

-COM = worldwide

-USA = USA

-EXP = Export

-JAP = Japan

Most are 315-xxxxx-COM

This is not a cart. It's the GDrom

The GD versions of VF4 & EVO are Japanese bios only.

You need a EPR-23605 BIOS

That's interesting. I'm able to play my VF4 with the export bios on it. :smt017

I'll double check later.
