All right so apparently I need more help than I thought I did. When I hook the system up to my astro city the screen goes double on me. Am I suppose to power the Sega jamma I/O. And how do I wire the board controls to the cab controls?
Yes, all sega I/O's need power. I assume that your I/O is not Jamma? If that's the case, you will need to get the proper wiring for it. ECL has some harnesses that you may want to check out.
No josh my I/O is jamma its a rev. B and I think based on the schem. diagram I got from the site I Know where I need to wire it. My big prob now is not knowing how to wire the VG CP. Am I worng in saying that the USB connection is kinda testy... cause sometimes it tells me my I/O is not connected

Check that your naomi board is set to the correct resolution for your cab. Most likely the naomi is outputting 31khz and your monitor only does 15khz. Just put DIP#1 in ON position.
Thanks Amano you were right about the dip setting oops!
However I think I may have just done something really stupid. I believ I overpowered the board, which seems not to have effected the mobo, but the gd-rom isnt working I took it apart but of course its not fused AHHHHHHHH
somebody help how do I bring my gd-rom back to life?
If you have a spare Dreamcast, you can take the laser unit a swap it into the burnt reader. I heard recently that there are 2 versions of the GD unit: one was a direct swap; the other needed some minor work done (not sure what as the ones I have are direct swap types).
