No sound on a WWF Royal Rumble

Hey Joshua ! I think I finally got it, but I'm a little too late. I did some research on my cab. It turns out to be that my Jamma cab, only had one speaker in it,positive and negative. And about a year ago, I took that one speaker out, and hooked up a pair of computer speakers, positive and negative. So I trace the wire like you said, and they lead to nothing. So I took out my old speaker from the cab, trace the wires and hooked them up on each side, but still no sound. So then I looked at the sound amp, and the green light was off. So I am pretty sure I burned out the amp, which is my fault because I was busy cutting and splicing, trying to get the sound to work. But if I had only trace the wires before, and hooked them up the right way, I could of saved the amp. Oh well, I guess I'll learn from my mistake. So Joshua, my question to you.... Should I look for another Sega sound amp-? Or try and get the Capcom I/O which will convert the sound through the Jamma, and into my pair of speakers I have now-? I really appericate all of your help, you are the best !

Using a Capcom I/O will definitely simplify your connections, but you will have to pay more for it. You can get a Sega amp for $30 or so. The Capcom I/O will send you back $150-$250 (prices vary). After weighing the options, whether or not you should get one is really up to you. ;)

Also, you may be able to save yourself some money if you check the fuses on the Sega amp. Fuses are pretty cheap in comparison to the above mentioned prices. :D

OK. Thanks, I checked for fuses on the sound amp,but I don't see any-?. Also,if I do get the Capcom I/O,will it work through my Jamma speakers-?

Thanks !

The fuses are located on both sides of CN3 (power connector; refer to my pic). The fuses are white colored. The Capcom I/O has the option of sending output to the jamma harness.

I tryed taking out the fuse, but it broke. It looks like its solder onto the board. Most likely I'll look around for another sound amp, and wire two speakers up, or look for the Capcom I/O.

Yeah, those are solder type fuses. Unless you are tech savvy, replacing them will be a hassle. (I would have checked them first... :smt110 ) In the mean-time, you can use computer speakers or any stereo amplifier that has RCA jacks.
