cant find v hold (sync)? controls on Naomi monitor

Hi I am in UK and own a Shootout Pool machine. The picture rolls and I believe this is due to the v sync. I have located the brightness and contrast pincushion positioning vertical and horizontal size control for the monitor but nothing stops the picture from scrolling.

Please can anyone help? Sorry I don?t know what type of monitor it is.

Is the controls you found on a small pcb accessible from under the control panel or coin door? If so, you will most likely find the v-hold on the monitor's control pcb chassis. This means you will have to open the rear of the cab to look at the back of the monitor.

yes under the conrol panel. i was hoping i would not have to do that. any idea were i get the tool to open it i think they are torx security?

You can get torx bits/drivers from practically any hardware store. Since I don't have a Naomi cab, I can't say I know what type/size you need, but I'm sure someone reading this forum could answer that question. Or, you can go and buy a torx set and try them out for yourself.

Russ, do you have Shootout Pool? or Shootout Pool Prize??

To get into the control panel you need to unlock it, the lock is underneath the CP.

I don't remember you need to under do any Torx on that that panel, I'll have a look later.

Where abouts you in the UK??

Shootout Pool. Torx on the back of the monitor just tried to remove it one of the bolts is damaged so could not get it completely off but turned the machine on. Hey presto, it only works. God knows what that did if anything? I was playing with the dip switch settings last night. Have had to turn it off as my son is going to bed, damn!

Thanks guys!!. What a great bunch of people. now who's free this weekend to help me move it down the end of the garden.

i have since found after moving it again it needs a thump on the back of the monitor which solves the problem
